Pregame Conference Check List
This check list should be gone over in every age group with both head coaches 5 minutes prior to start of game. The game does not start until the pre game meeting has been held.
· Go over all field ground Rules.
o Any holes in the outfield fence that the ball can get through.
o If ball leaves the playing area the ball will become dead and any runners will get the base there going to + 1.
o Bases and pitching rubber set at the proper distances.
· Go over any rule exceptions.
o Both Coaches must agree to the exception to the rule. If rule is not agreed upon, then game will be played by rules set forth in Rule Book.
· Ask both coaches to make sure all players (in the boys divisions) are properly equipped. This includes all jewelry being removed in all age divisions.
· Any line up exceptions. (Both Coaches need to agree to this prior to start of game.)
o Holding a player out of this game due to discipline actions.
o If a player is running late. Both coaches agree to put player in at the bottom of line up when they get to the game. (No out will be taken if a team is short players.)
· Do both coaches agree to the field conditions and the ground rules?
o If so, let’s play ball. If game already started and a problem with the field conditions becomes a problem settle them in a professional manner.
o If not, correct any problems before the game starts and then get conformation from both coaches that the field conditions are acceptable to both. Then begin play.
